Hannah Created a piece of work called INSECTA: Circus Theatre to showcase at Dance City's event FRESH North East.
Hannah's career started out as being a Gymnast to then beginning a career in Dance & Choreography. Hannah realised the difficulties of being able to adapt to both disciplines as they are complete opposite sides of the spectrum. So... Hannah decided to create a piece that incorporated both Gymnasts and Contemporary Dancers to challenge the performers in the opposite disciplines and also show off their strengths. This was an overall challenge for both the performers and Hannah herself as she has to dig deep into their abilities and see how far they are able to cope under pressure and explore the possibilities within.
Due to Hannah having gone through this herself she understood the paths that she had to take to create an interesting piece for not only the performers but the audience.
Hannah incorporated:
-
Dance
-
Contortion
-
Acrobatics
-
Tumbling
-
Hoop Work
-
and Improvisational Techniques.
