COACH

Hannah became a level 1 General Gymnastics Coach at the age of 15 with British Gymnastics.

She began coaching at Bishop Barrington Gymnastics Club at this young age to gain experience as a coach/teacher in this discipline. Hannah aided and watched her gymnasts improve at the sport and work their way up their badges.

Hannah then began shadowing the gymnastics teachers in St. Johns RC School so that she could get experience in assisting older students. Here Hannah helped to assist general gymnastics and Acro work, as well as helping to learn the skills and techniques of teaching Trampolining.

When Hannah became a base she was in an 11-16 Womens Pair to start getting experience as a base. In this partnership Hannah basically coached her and her partner herself and also Choreographed their routines for the Trials that they were put in for.

This was when Hannah began to understand what it took to manage a partnership and include safety within the workplace.

After Hannah stopped performing in Gymnastics at a high level and started her University Degree in Choreography, she began working for Clubs in Newcastle & Gateshead.

  • Metro Team Gym

  • CNGA Benfield Gymnastics Club

  • Northumbria University Gymnastics Team

  • Gateshead Sports & Wellbeing Centre

Here Hannah was a coach for these places she learned how to work with various age ranges & gymnasts with very different abilities in the sport.

When Hannah started Coaching for CNGA Gymnastics Club in Newcastle which involved teaching General Gymnastics as well as Artistic Gymnastics, Hannah worked with an age group from 4 years old to 18 years old teenagers.

This became a better experience for her as she had to learn how to manage a young age group as well as catering for teens and generally gymnasts that were a lot taller than Hannah herself. Hannah would coach a lot of the tumbling within this club also. Here Hannah learned the ways of artistic gymnatics and learned how to coach Beam, Bars (Uneven & Parallel), Floor, Air Track & Vault.

At Metro Gymnastics Club the team here was for Team Gym. Which again is another form of gymnastics. Here Hannah would occasionally assist coaching the gymnasts but would mostly focus on the Choreographies for the teams. Again here there was a varied age range.

Hannah would help out with the Northumbria University Gymnasts sometimes which involved working with older students. Hannah would also Choreograph the routines for this team.

Hannah also worked for a Club in Gatehead which specialised in Artistic Gymnastics. Here the gymnasts were generally a lot younger but participated in many competitions. Hannah would normally coach the gymnasts on Floor and would also Choreograph the routines for the various competitions they attended.

Hannah then began coaching for her piece 'INSECTA' and each of her gymnasts and dancers had to participate in the correct strength and endurance Conditioning before starting to learn agilities and acrobatic moves.

Her Hannah learnt what it was like to be in charge of a group and understood the progressions that the group would have to go through to increase their abilities in the company.

Hannah will be continuing with her coaching skills within Spain and the UK in thr future...
